WANDERERS - 'WHAT A VICTORY' REPORT
Week 8 - 90/91 Season
Stunned I Was, Not only did we win, Not only did we win by 57!, Not only did we have six spares (including 2 flatteners) ... but also, Robby 'FO' bought a place on the raffle !!!! - Wonders will never cease, there must be a god etc. . .
Yes, a stunning victory for the Wanderers (and about time), Magnificent scoring all round (Well.. almost), Robby FO skittled a very mediocre and lucky 58 (well you Bastard, did you expect praise after f*****g up the Captains Pint ?), Mike 'The German' and Scouse 'The Arsenal Boot-Boy' both scored in the 50's (Scouse is now a very clear leader at the top of the averages). Even the Captain had a good match with his majestic 49. . . . and then there was Steve . . . Before the match, nobody had had 'The Egg' twice. . . but that was before the match. Yes a crap 34 gave Steve the honor of being the Wanderer's most 'egged' player.
Although there was a reasonable turn out of loud shirts (Nobody matching the Captain's utter tastelessness), there were a number of abstainers. Even more worrying is the fact that players are not turning up regularly - Once again we were only just scraping a team together.
If you can't make a match - let the Captain or the Secretary know BEFOREHAND. Don't send a message along on the night via someone else, by that time it's usually too late to organise other people.
Finally, a brief report on the Curry Trip to Evesham .. We got pissed, ate a curry and wrapped ourselves up in our Nan Breads - A good night out.
