WANDERERS - PROGRESS REPORT
Week 4 - 90/91 Season
Out of the Cup so soon, tsk, tsk - Oh well we'll just have to have another Curry evening won't we.
Yes, although the Wanderers put in a very sound performance, it was not enough to win against a team, who on the night out-skittled us (But weren't they quiet?).
No score less than 37 (A very popular egg to be awarded to Robby FO who pissed off early), and nine scores in the forties. Very sound skittling from Mike 'Froggy' Wood (48), Mike 'Shoot the German Down' Bendall (47) and Steve 'Animal' Rowbotham (47), but all the same, last time we played on this alley we scored 37 more pins !!
Cliff 'Browner Bum Than Last Week' Pennell's average continues to fall after a very mediocre 40 (Makes the 60 on the same alley look a bit lucky doesn't it Cliff !), whilst Scouse retains the Anchor Man position by virtue of the fact that he hasn't played on any crap alleys yet.
Full marks for the extra singing effort last week (Each week a Captains 'Nark' will be appointed to fine people who aren't singing). We hope to be producing song sheets for some of the more popular ditties over the next few weeks, so if there is a song you want included see either Neil 'Smelly, Bald, and Very Short' Davies or myself.
As we have been Knocked out of the cup we will be organising a Curry Evening in Evesham on Tuesday 6th November, a Mini-Bus will be laid on.
