Two Games, Two resounding wins - Will it last ?

Yes, our first home game of the season was a rousing success, beating the Britannia Plant team by 33. The evening saw Cliff 'Brown Bum' Pennel securing his place as 'anchor man' with a masterful 47 (and the only spare of the evening) and a good performance from Neil 'Short, Bald and Smelly' Davies with 42. We also had the return of 'The Egg', proudly presented to John Andrews for his pathetic 26 (Including the first Beaver of the season).

Once again all players are reminded of the punctuality rule - If you do not arrive at the alley before 8 'O Clock without giving the Secretary or Captain prior warning, you are liable to be dropped.

Notes for your diaries:

• The Asnewts now play on a Wednesday at Bishops Cleeve F.C, our match against them is now on Wednesday, February 27th.
• Our first cup match on the way to the final, is on Tuesday 9th October at the Royal Union.
• The First Curry evening of the season will be held on Tuesday October 16th after our home match.
